About Örebro
Örebro is the country's sixth largest municipality in terms of population. Around 150,000 people live here, and the municipality has inhabitants from around 165 different countries. Örebro municipality is centrally located in Sweden, about 20 miles from Stockholm and 30 miles from Gothenburg.
70 percent of Sweden's population lives within a 30-mile radius. Örebro Airport has charter, scheduled and freight traffic to Sweden and the rest of Europe. Trains serve Örebro on the Mälarbanan, Svealandsbanan, Bergslagsbanan and south to Gothenburg, among other places. Both people and goods travel on the European roads E 18 and E 20 and national road 50.
